Time to practice swimming. Lynn and Eric took advantage of our community pool for Lynn to practice more of what she'd learned the day before. Our pool is only 3-4 feet deep all over, and it's warm. There will be another lesson next week, but in the meantime this place is ideal for practicing.
With celebrating two birthdays and one anniversary within 9 days, it seems like all we've done is eat out. Thursday, the 15th was no exception. Dad wanted to treat us to a good meal in a nice quiet restaurant, so we went to Seasons-by-the-Lake, a lovely place on the Clemson University campus. Good service and pretty good food. Lynn tried Oysters Rockefeller and loved them. They beat out the fried oysters and the coconut shrimp.
Our pace is finally slowing down. The only other thing that happened yesterday is that Lynn decided she likes the bite-size candy bars like Snickers, Heath Bar, and Clark Bars better than what she found in the giant candy section of the Mast General Store, so she bought many big bags of the individually wrapped candy that you can find in any American grocery store. I'll have to give her one of my spare suitcases just to carry it all.
Tonight we'll go out to celebrate Eric's 33rd birthday at Nami, a fabulous Japanese place on Lake Hartwell. both E & L are craving Japanese food. We had planned to go to Highlands, NC, but rain is expected, so we'll put that off for another day.
Tomorrow is our 45th anniversary. The florist just delivered a vase filled with a dozen yellow (my favorite color) long-stemmed roses from Harry. Nice! How lucky I am to have 3 great men in my life, and a delightful young woman.
